Flinders Private Hospital is seeking experienced peri-operative anaesthetic nurses to join our team. We perform a broad range of specialities including Orthopaedic, General, Urology, Plastics and Robotic surgery, Angiography and Endoscopy, offering you an exciting opportunity to branch out into different specialities areas.
You will join the perioperative nursing team and be responsible for the collaboration of safe and quality surgical patient care. We encourage a flexible and family friendly workplace.
Flinders Private Hospital operating suite is comprised of 9 theatres, 3 Angio/Cath Labs and 2 Endoscopy suites that operate electively over a 6-day week.
About the role:
Work cohesively and with initiative in a multi-disciplinary team
Deliver evidenced based and quality clinical nursing care
Liaising with management, key stakeholders and all staff
Support management and embrace change and new initiatives positively
Provide exceptional pre and post-operative nursing care in accordance with national standards
Work effectively in a team environment, while managing own time effectively in a fast paced setting

About you:
Participation in a 6-day roster and on call.
Demonstrating the professionalism and culture of Flinders Private Hospital.
Strong communication, problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
At least 2 years previous experience as an anaesthetic or recovery nurse.
Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
Committed to ongoing professional development and learning.
Knowledge of ACORN standards and current legislation.
Unrestricted registration with AHPRA
Consideration will be given to re-registration to AHPRA program
