The Memorial Hospital offers a range of specialties including ENT Surgery, general medicine, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, paediatric surgery and plastic & reconstructive surgery.  The Memorial Hospital has 8 operating theatres, a dedicated paediatric day stay unit and a level 2 critical care unit.

Are you an experienced CSSD Instrument Technician who is self-motivated and enthusiastic? We want you to join our dynamic perioperative team.

About the role:

• Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas

• Comply with AS/5369:2023 Standards

• Operate interpret and document all machinery operational requirements

• Report and document all quality activities

• Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes

About you:

• Current South Australian DHS Working with Children Clearance

• Sound knowledge of AS 5369:2023

• Certificate III qualifications or working towards

• Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail

• Intermediate computer literacy skills – including electronic tracking systems

• Proven ability to effectively manage under pressure with competing demands

• Committed to ongoing professional development and learning

• An interest in promoting best practice patient care

• Candidates must hold Australian or NZ citizenship or the capacity to permanently work in Australia.  Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing
