Flinders Private Hospital is a modern acute 152-bed facility providing a range of specialties, which include neurosurgery, cardiac, critical care, orthopaedic, surgical and medical services.
About the role:
Attend to the operational management of the CSSD department including streamline flow management.
Maintaining high standards of practice in CSSD
Identify, assess and implement measures to manage risks
Adhere to ACHA and site policies and procedures, work in close relationship with theatre nurses to achieve best practice and continuous quality improvement
Management of Infection Control and WHS issues pertaining to the unit to ensure patient safety, a safe work environment and safe practice for all staff
Ensure equipment and consumables are functional, serviced and available according to requirements and can continuously assess, reassess, allocate staff and resources, implement changes for current and future needs of the hospital

About you:
Certificate III Sterilisation, currently have or working towards Cert IV.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in CSSD
Effective leadership and management skills appropriate to this role including interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
Computer skills (word, excel, email) and accurate documentation
Ability to demonstrate decision making skills
Advanced knowledge in the AS5369 standard GENCA and current ACORN standards
Skills in (re-)processing instruments and endoscopes
