Ashford Hospital Emergency Department is seeking applications from enthusiastic, highly motivated, qualified and experienced Registered Nurses with a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience, with at least 3 years within an Emergency Care setting.
As a Clinical Nurse, you will support the Nurse Unit Manager in leading, coaching and mentoring junior staff in providing excellent Emergency Care to our patients through evidenced based practice.
About the role:
Develop a professional portfolio such as WHS, Education and Training, Leadership and Quality improvement
Work in partnership with the NUM to provide leadership and support to the team
As part of the leadership team for the Emergency Department provide guidance to staff on clinical issues, National Standards and relevant legislation
Assist the NUM in the role out of changes and consolidation of clinical practice
Be accountable for the management of human, material and physical resources ensuring ward budget needs are met
Participate in the formation of rosters
Work effectively as part of a team

About you:
APHRA Registration
A post Graduate Qualification in Emergency Nursing is desirable
South Australian DHS Working with Children Clearance
Excellent Customer service and Communication skills
Critical thinking skills
Excellent time management and Organisational skills
Ability to lead staff in manner that is encouraging and supportive
Ability to demonstrate resilience
Values team work and leads by example
Willingness to undertake quality improvement projects

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the “Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance (ACHA) & Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) South Australian Branch – Nurses’ & Midwives – Enterprise Agreement - 2024 (‘Agreement’ or ‘Enterprise Agreement’)” (salaries range between $56.70-$60.17 per hour).
