Reception / Administration Duties
Part-Time Position – 0.7 FTE

We are seeking to recruit a motivated and dynamic team member for our reception/administration area. If you are passionate about providing service excellence and patient care, with proven ability in flexibility, compassion and initiative, we want to hear from you.
About the role:
Answer and re-direct calls on a busy switchboard
Admit and discharge patients
Prepare and complete patient paperwork
Maintain accurate and effective record management systems
Liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff from other departments
Support the Administration Team Leader and Administration Manager
Complete other clerical tasks as required
Maintain patient/client and staff confidentiality at all times
Adhere to corporate and hospital policies and procedures

About you:
Ability to work all shifts over a 7-day roster (early and late)
Demonstrated ability to use Word / Windows based IT applications desirable
Knowledge of Medical Terminology desirable
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to work in close proximity to medical scenarios
Accurate data entry / keyboard skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
Excellent telephone / switchboard skills
Ability to adapt to organisational change
Ability to use initiative within the work area, with some problem-solving skills
Works well independently within a team with a ‘can do’ attitude
Passion for delivering exceptional customer service in an empathetic manner
Experience in Health Services Reception / Administration including Admission and Discharge procedures desirable
